Monday Movies are on tap with a 7 PM showing of No Hard Feelings, an R-Rated romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lawrence as a woman hired by helicopter parents to help bring their teen son out of his shell before college. Concessions available and donations welcome.
Tuesday at 6 PM is the return of Let’s Get Quizzical! our Trivia Night blast. It offers great prizes, free snacks, and a BYOB-friendly vibe. Cost is $45.00 per team (or $7.50 per person), with registration available here.
Wednesday at 7:30 PM is another installment of the Beaver Island Jazz Series featuring Third Coast Swing, a Michigan band focused on the jazz of the 1930’s and ’40’s typified by Django Reinhardt, but also known for bringing an eclectic modern style to classic ensemble jazz.
And on Friday at 7:30 PM the powerhouse Dave Bennett Quartet returns to our stage with the final event of the Beaver Island Jazz Series for 2023, as the energetic singer and multi-instrumentalist leads his group from classics from the Swing Era’s Benny Goodman through rock’s Roy Orbison and lively jumps into other genres.
Mixed in as usual are Arthritis Foundation Exercise Programs at 9:30 AM Tuesday and Friday, Summer Yoga at 9 AM Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and Senior Coffee and Donuts from 8-10 AM Friday. Join us for movies, trivia, and excellent music this week at your Community Center!
