It’s hard to believe we’re at July’s end, as summer’s warmest days fill the beaches – and our air-conditioned building – with visitors of all kinds. This week’s main events at the BIC Center are three concerts in the Baroque on Beaver Music Festival series, with details below. As always, ticket information and details on our regular programs are found at the top of this page on the Tickets page and Community Calendar respectively.
Monday at 7:30 PM is Baroque’s New and Next: Contemporary Classical with Robert Nordling. Unexpected, inviting, and incomparable, this is cutting-edge classical music with a tour guide. Come along with your host, Baroque Festival Maestro Robert Nordling, to hear the most innovative classical music performed by brilliant artists.
7:30 PM Thursday is the Baroque on Beaver Festival Orchestra, with a performance featuring Jaeden Izik-Dzurko in Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25 and Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 1. The Festival Orchestra performs these works under the direction of Festival Maestro and Music Director Robert Nordling, celebrated for his energetic and expressive conducting that brings clarity and balance to every performance.
Finally on Saturday at 7:30 PM is the Baroque on Beaver Season Finale. Celebrate the grand finale of Baroque on Beaver’s 24th season with an unforgettable evening of music. Baroque’s newly appointed Associate Conductor Nathan Bieber will lead an exceptional ensemble in a dynamic program featuring works by Astor Piazzolla and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4. Adding to the excitement, the winner of this year’s Young Soloist Competition, chosen from talented high school musicians across the state, will take the stage to perform selected pieces.
