This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which the Preservation Association of Beaver Island (“PABI”) collects, uses, maintains and discloses personal information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the website www.biccenter.org (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Site. It does not apply to other services or products offered by or through the Site. PABI and the BIC Center operate facilities in the State of Michigan in the United States of America. Although we make a reasonable attempt to comply with the requirements imposed by other states and countries, we only operate in Michigan and do not by these efforts agree that any such non- local requirements apply to our operations. This Privacy Policy is a disclosure of the practices we intend to follow in using your personal information. It is not an agreement.

Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our Site, register on the Site, subscribe to a newsletter or blog, respond to a survey, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, mobile number, credit card information, employer, and occupation. Users may, however, visit our Site without submitting such personal information. We will collect personal identification information from Users only to the extent such information is voluntarily submitted to us. PABI collects and uses Users’ personal information for the following purposes:

We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.

We continually strive to improve our Site offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.

We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to process reservations, expressions of interest in the third party’s products or services, payments, respond to inquiries or provide the services or products.

If User decides to opt-in to, or not opt-out from, our mailing list, they will receive emails or texts that may include news, updates, requests for donations, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails or texts, we include unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email or the User may contact us via our Site.

We will share Users’ personal information as required by law or in order to support investigations or reports; prevent or take action regarding illegal or disruptive activities; in response to violations of our rules governing the use of the Site; to protect the safety of any person or property; to protect our rights or property; and for other reasons in our reasonable discretion. The Site is not designed to process sensitive information other than payment information. Instead, all payment information is processed by payment process providers that we believe take appropriate measures to protect such information. PABI has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will post a notification on the main page of our Site and revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are handling the personal information we collect. The Beaver Island Community Center (“BIC Center”) website is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the notices, liability limitations and disclaimers contained herein. Venue for Resolution of Disputes

Any dispute concerning the BIC Center Website that is not informally resolved shall be brought only in the state courts in Charlevoix, Michigan and federal courts in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
