FCC Applications
On November 9, 2021, The Preservation Association of Beaver Island (“PABI”), applicant for a new non-commercial educational FM radio station on 91.9 Mhz, Beaver Island, Michigan, filed an application with the Federal Communications Commission for a new non-commercial educational FM radio station. PABI is the licensee of WVBI-LP, Beaver Island. The current predicted coverage area of WVBI and the proposed predicted coverage area for the new station are shown in the map below. If the application is granted, PABI will divest its interest in the current authorization and transfer the operations of WVBI (and its call sign) to the new station.

On December 2, 2024. the Beaver Island Community Center filed a Notice of Equipment Test Operations with the FCC. A copy of that notice is available here.
