Last weekend’s Harvest on the Harbor was a great success around the village, including happy crowds gathering in front of the BIC Center for cider pressing, vendor goods, pie-eating, and hayrides. We thank all of the sponsors who made the event such a fun fall festival! And looking into this week is another round of good reasons to come in our doors. On Tuesday at 6:00 PM is Let’s Get Quizzical! Trivia Night, where you can join us for a night of brain teasers and lots of laughs. Bring a dish to pass if you like. Please have one person register for the whole team, and maximum number of teammates is 6 people. You only need to reserve one ticket for the entire team. Register at tickets.biccenter.org

Saturday Movies has two spooky films in the theater with the big sound – at 3:00 PM is the PG-13 drama/fantasy classic Edward Scissorhands, following the solitary life of an artificial man, incompletely constructed and with scissors for hands, whose life is upended when he is taken in by a suburban family. Directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, and Dianne Wiest. Later at 6:00 PM is the 2025 R-rated American horror film Sinners. Set in 1932 in the Mississippi Delta, the film stars Michael B. Jordan in dual roles as criminal twin brothers who return to their hometown, where they are confronted by a supernatural evil. Critics have called it “a rip-roaring fusion of masterful visual storytelling and toe-tapping music, where writer-director Ryan Coogler’s first original blockbuster reveals the full scope of his singular imagination.” Freewill donation suggested; concession stand open for snacks, a meal or both.
