Week at a Glance: The Emerald Isle Irish Feile – Music, Workshops, and More

September’s first week at the Community Center brings some of the finest in Celtic musical and cultural offerings, courtesy of the 2025 Emerald Isle Irish Féile. The festival’s events are spread around the island, with some of its highlights taking place in the BIC Center theater. Please note that Féile programs at BIC Center are ticketed events, and Irish Féile wristbands are required for entry. Seating is first come, first served. First off is Féile Registration on Friday from 10:30 AM-6:00 PM, taking place in front of the BIC Center or in the lobby, depending on the weather. Ticket-buyers will connect here for their Féile wristbands and information. From 6-7:30 PM are crowd-pleasers the Byrne Brothers, followed at 8-9:30 by Celtic-inspired artists Crossbow.
Saturday from 10-6 is Registration/Information; the Beaver Island Irish-American Hall of Fame ceremony from 10:30-11:30 AM; ‘Arranmore: The Rest of the Story”, presented by Kevin Green; an Irish Language workshop by Catriona Kennedy from 2:30-4; ‘Songs and Stories‘ with Jerry Early and Arranmore Friends from 5-6:30; Rory Makem from 7-8:30; and the Tartan Terrors from 9-10:30.

What’s at the BIC Center?
The Welcome Center
The front room of our first floor is a Welcome Center. It is a great place to get information, grab a snack, connect to Wi-Fi and kick off your island adventure. It’s also home to the office of the Island’s Chamber of Commerce.
BIC Center Theater
The BIC Center Theater is the premier performance space on the island hosting music of all genres, dance, theater productions, movies, seminars and community meetings. Check here for complete information on upcoming events.
The Hangout
Our Hangout upstairs offers an informal gathering place for meetings, reading, pool, board games, video games, TV, using our community PCs and printer, and … just hanging out. Also there are studios for the community’s radio station…our very own WVBI-The Voice of Beaver Island.
