Week at a Glance: Zachariah Malachi and the Familiars
The last full week of August is here, as hard as it is to believe. Your Community Center is wrapping up the summer with a Nashville bang, courtesy of Beaver Island favorite Zachariah Malachi, returning to our stage this time with his new line-up The Familiars. The house-rocking group pays homage to the golden era of country music while fearlessly exploring new territory, making each performance a journey through genres and eras. A dynamic and unpredictable performer, Malachi has built a strong following thanks to his electrifying live shows, which are equal parts heartfelt storytelling and rollicking good time. Whether he’s crooning a tearjerker or tearing through a barn-burner, his stage presence is magnetic, and his passion unmistakable. He’ll be bringing the full band he regularly plays with in Downtown Nashville – seasoned players who bring a tight, high-energy sound honed from countless nights on the city’s most iconic stages. Together, they create a musical experience that’s as authentic as it is unforgettable. This show is sold out as of Monday morning, but please call the BIC Center at 231-448-2020 to be placed on a wait list if you wish.
Beyond that we’ve got our regular programs including Summer Yoga, Chair Strength Training, Mah Jongg games, Bingo, and more, details of which can be found on the Community Calendar at the top of this page.
See you at the Community Center!
