Into mid-October we go, with eagerly awaited programs and fall events returning to your Community Center. First off on Wednesday from 5:00- 7:00 PM is our popular Time for Art series led by Cindy Ricksgers, offering the off-season community creative exploration into multiple artistic mediums. The first class, led by guest instructor Lois Stipp, will dive into the Zentangle – a meditative art and drawing method creating abstract images using structured, repetitive patterns called “tangles”. It’s a relaxing and stress-relieving practice for all ages and skill levels, focusing on enjoying the creative process rather than producing a perfect result. The method uses basic strokes like lines, curves, and dots to form intricate-looking designs on small, square pieces of paper called “tiles”. Ages 60+ attend free; $5.00 suggested donation for all others.
Then the weekend gears up with Harvest on the Harbor, offering fun activities and entertainment for everyone. Check out the Community Calendar above and our Facebook posts for more detail, and below is the main events schedule:
