As April settles in on Beaver Island, the Beaver Island Community Center continues to be a hub of activity, offering a full week of opportunities to stay active, get creative, and connect with others.

The week begins Tuesday with a strong lineup of daytime programming. Pickleball gets underway at 10:00 AM, followed by Chair Strength Training at 10:30 AM—two great ways to keep moving and enjoy some social time. Later in the day, the Center hosts a featured event, the Ultimate Puzzle Showdown at 5:00 PM, bringing a fun and collaborative challenge to the evening.

Wednesday offers both tradition and creativity. The BI Senior Advisory Committee hosts Bingo at 1:00 PM, a longtime favorite filled with laughter and friendly competition. Then at 5:00 PM, Time for Art continues as a featured event, giving participants the chance to explore creativity and build on their latest projects.

Thursday is one of the busiest days of the week at the Center. The morning includes Pickleball at 10:00 AM and Senior Tai Chi at 10:30 AM, offering options for both active play and mindful movement. In the afternoon, the Beaver Island Telecommunications Advisory Committee meets at 4:30 PM. The evening brings even more activity, with an additional Pickleball session at 5:00 PM, followed by an AA meeting at 6:00 PM.

Friday starts with a warm and welcoming tradition—Senior + Veterans Coffee & Donuts from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. The morning continues with Pickleball at 10:00 AM and Chair Strength Training at 10:30 AM, rounding out a full week of fitness and fellowship.

Throughout the week, these regular gatherings and special events highlight what makes the BIC Center such an important part of island life—a place to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy time together as the season shifts into spring.
