This Week at the BIC Center: Kids Week Activities, Trivia Night, and Movies

With school closed during this week’s Spring Break, your Community Center has some fun programs for families and kids staying on-island for the duration. (Please note: The Monday, 5:00 PM Qigong practice with Tina Carlton has been canceled for today, and will resume next Monday.)

On Tuesday, March 25 from 12:00-1:00 PM, we’ll be hosting Teen Trivia, where anyone 12+ can come put their brain to the test. There will be loads of prizes, snacks, and lots of fun! No registration required for Teen Trivia. That’s followed at 6:00 PM the same day with our regular Let’s Get Quizzical! Trivia Night, for a night of brain teasers and lots of laughs. There is no fee for teams to play for Let’s Get Quizzical! – however, it is still required that you register beforehand at store.biccenter.org. Maximum number of teammates is 6 people. Please have only one team member register for the entire team. Bring a dish to share if you are able to do so. And remember, this is a B.Y.O.B. event so come prepared! (Please place your food orders early so we can have you served and seated by 6:00 PM.)

On Thursday the 27th is our Games Galore Pizza Party! Anyone of all ages can come and participate in our See No, Hear No, Speak No Pizza-Making Game, where teams of three work together to make the prettiest pizza. Kids can then enjoy their creation while they play other games including Ping Pong, Basketball hoop shoot, “Make Your Own Slime”, and partake in a Mario Kart Tournament on the big screen!

Saturday at 3:00 PM on the big screen is Sonic the Hedgehog 3, the PG-rated animated superhero adventure where Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow – a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. Then at 6:00 PM is the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown starring Timothy Chalamet and Ed Norton, and Oscar-nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor, among other categories. Freewill donation suggested; concession stand open for snacks, a meal or both.
