Your Community Center is wrapping up April and beginning May with a bang, courtesy of our monthly Throwback Movie on Saturday, with details to follow. As always, check out the Community Calendar found at biccenter.org for more info on our regular programs, and read below for highlights.

Monday at 5:00 PM is the last Qigong practice of the season, led by Tina Carlton in the theater. Come and enjoy this gentle Chinese movement regimen meant to promote calm and keep you limber. A small donation for building use is suggested, but not required.

Wednesday at 5:00 PM is the last of our off-season Time for Art classes as well, which since last fall have kept creative locals learning multiple mediums under the guidance of veteran art teacher Cindy Ricksgers and guest teachers. This week’s finale features a return to the art of Tie Dye, led by Catherine Meintsma. Bring an article of clothing or other fabric you’d like to decorate with vivid colors, and enjoy free pizza courtesy of the BIC Center! Free for those 60 and over, with a $5.00 suggested donation for all others.

Friday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM is another round of Free Coffee and Doughnuts for Seniors and Veterans, giving you time to catch up with your neighbors over sweet treats and java.

Then on Saturday at 6:00 PM is our vintage Throwback Cinema feature, which this month takes us to 1967’s R-rated classic Bonnie & Clyde. Bored waitress Bonnie Parker falls in love with ex-con Clyde Barrow, and together they begin a violent crime spree through the country, stealing cars and robbing banks. Starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, the Depression-era gangster saga was nominated for 10 Academy Awards. Freewill donation suggested, and concession stand open for snacks, a meal or both. See you at the Community Center !
