Our Celebrate Summer 2019 events continue. On August 30, we welcome Erin Coburn to the McDonough’s Market Theater for an evening of special music from this rising star. She has captivated her audiences since a young age, with her prowess on guitar, her powerful vocals, and bringing her own style of rock with blues influences into the 21st century. You don’t want to miss her performance at the BIC Center so you can say you saw her perform before she was world famous. Showtime is 8:00 p.m. Tickets for both events are available at the BIC Center front desk or by calling +1 231-448-2022.
Our regular summer activities continue with exercise classes everyday (save Sunday) at 9:30. Basic Yoga on Mondays and Fridays, Tai Chi on Tuesdays, Restorative & Realignment Yoga on Wednesdays, Kickboxing on Thursdays and Self Defense on Saturdays. These are followed by the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program at 10:30 on Tuesdays and Fridays as well as therapeutic yoga on Mondays at 11. Plus, movies continue on Tuesdays at 5:30 and Saturdays at 4 and & 7. Coming up are Amazing Grace (a spectacular concert by Aretha Franklin never shown until the release of this film), Pokemon Detective Pikechu, Avengers Endgame (on Saturday plus a special Sunday afternoon showing), The Hustle, A Dog’s Journey, Shadow, The Biggest little Farm, A Pet’s Life 2 and The Sun is Aldo a Star. The fun doesn’t end in August! With beautiful weather and warm temperatures well into October (and summer temps for most of September), the fun continues on America’s Emerald Isle with plenty of reasons to plan a post-summer season visit. The Beaver Island Irish Festival is September 6-8 with non-stop events on the island and at the BIC Center. The Bite of Beaver food festival and crafts show is October 5th. And there are plenty of other events and activities right through color season. Check our Community Calendar for details and make your plans now to Discover Beaver Island this fall.
